Section 9, Newport City
Motoko, shut it down
Get down to the nitty gritty
I catch the hackers hacking ghosts
Like assassins, I fire rounds
Heads explode, magic happens
They never see me comin'
I thermoptic camouflage it
You got a secret meeting?
No, you don't
I sabotaged it
You try to see me
But your vision goes clear
Move my hand down my face
And I disappear
Pre-chorus:
And I dream 'bout my design
Wondering what I left behind
When my body went robotic
Did I lose my mind?
If I look into the mirror
Will I fear what I find?
Do my cyborg eyes see a soul
Or am I blind?
I keep thinkin'
That I'm sinkin'
That I'm drowning in the water
Swallow fear and anxiety
There's hope to be found here
From the darkness, I shall rise
I shall break through the surface
And I know that it's calling me
My destiny, my purpose
Chorus:
(Ni-go-zero-ichi)
Ghost in the shell, ghost in the machine
Phantasms that haunt me, haunt me in my dreams
Complicate my thoughts so that nothing's what it seems
I can hear the ghosts, but can they hear me?
Ghost in the shell, ghost in the machine
Phantasms that haunt me, haunt me in my dreams
Complicate my thoughts so that nothing's what it seems
I can hear the ghosts, but can they hear me?
I got static in my brain
But I blame it on PMS
Might be on my period
But I'm cool under stress
Might be half-machine
But look good in a dress
Fierce on the outside
But inside, I'm a mess
I see some dark dealings
Lies and manipulations

I was born in the sea of information
I was born in the sea of information
If I merge, what will I become?
If I merge, what will I become?
If I merge, what will I become?

It's fresh with a diverse sound. Lots of energy and emotion running through this. Yes, it's Nerdcore rap, but it's from a different perspective, that of a confident Asian woman in a geeky world. Ryako
Shubzilla doesn't hold back and she delivers ferocity in spades. Bill Beats brings in some solid production and an interesting use of samples. Together, they are powerful and unapologetic. Ryako
I love this whole album: It just captures a wide range of experiences and affects the listener with a wide range of emotions.
I first liked this album because of the nerdcore elements, but I fell in love when I realized that these verses were true poetry, speaking to a deeper truth and beauty unlike most hip-hop I've heard. "A Poet" exemplifies this with its bittersweet message about how poetry is not valued. This is the first hip-hop tune I've ever shed a tear over.
Take a bow, Mega Ran. platinumazure
